Tenderfoot Weekend (April 11-13)

Tenderfoot Weekend is the perfect first trip for new Scouts, with a focus on activities designed to quickly earn the Tenderfoot rank.

The specific location has not yet been finalized, but it will likely be either Camp Nobscot in Natick or Camp Sayre in Milton.  We will depart on Friday evening April 11 and camp two nights, returning Sunday April 13. Plan on departing from the Rod & Gun Club around 7PM on Friday with an 11AM return on Sunday morning.

New Scouts and a guardian will sleep in a cabin. Older scouts and leaders will sleep in tents. (Depending on weather and other circumstances, new Scouts may be able to sleep outside on Saturday evening.) Meals will be by Patrol, with Troop Guides assigned to assist the New Scouts.  Guardians will eat with the Old Goat Patrol (i.e., the Adult leaders).

Our activities on Saturday will be aimed to help the new Scouts make quick progress towards earning the rank of Tenderfoot.

All current Scouts are expected to attend this trip if at all possible.
