All items should be removed from the patrol box and cleaned well. All items (including the patrol box itself) should be COMPLETELY dry before putting everything away, otherwise items will rust/rot.
Cast iron or carbon steel frying pans/griddles have special cleaning instructions and shouldn’t be washed with dish soap. Handling/washing instructions may be found here: https://www.wikihow.life/Clean-Lodge-Cast-Iron
If an item is damaged or needs replacing, it is your responsibility to let the quartermaster know.
For replacement items (ie paper towels, bags, etc), they are kept in the trailer.
Before each trip, please also make sure you grab additional needed items from the trailer appropriate for the meal plan. Quartermaster is responsible for informing the leaders if we are running low.
Bleach
Waxed paper, paper plates, disposable cuttlery, if needed
Propane/Stove if needed
Cast Iron Dutch Ovens if needed
Each patrol box should contain the following. Depending on the trip, a patrol box may have extra items.
